Why does a homeowner need to contact a Realtor to find out what their home is worth?
A Zestimate(zillow estimate) or any online evaluation software can’t accurately give a homeowner a true value. Yes they can give a homeowner a rough idea of what their home is worth from sold homes within a radius from the homeowner’s house.
The problem with the online home evaluation is that it has no idea what the homeowner has done or hasn’t done to their home. If a homeowner has not updated their home in 7-10 years, the home maybe out of date and will sell for less than comps (comparable homes) in the area.
A homeowner can really make a difference on how much they will receive when selling their home if they do the right things. Shows on HGTV like “Design to sell” and “Get it sold” both show the difference that can be made when a home seller de-clutters, de-personalizes and prices their home right.
